Meet the Safety First Team
Director & General Manager for the Upper North Island
Jenny is an NZFPA Certified Evacuation Consultant (NZFPA) Level 4 with over 22 years’ industry experience. Jenny is committed to providing a tailored, holistic safety service to Safety First Clients and has made a huge personal contribution to building stronger safety cultures in numerous NZ workplaces during her impressive career.
Director and General Manager for the Lower North and South Island
Joany has a background in property services, adult education and health & safety and extensive industry experience in the management and implementation of evacuation schemes.
Lower North Island Manager & Evacuation Consultant
With over 15 years of industry experience in the management and implementation of evacuation schemes, Cameron is a very experienced Evacuation Consultant. In addition to his evacuation consultancy role, Cameron also manages our Wellington office.
South Island Manager & Evacuation Consultant
With Safety First since 2010, Stephanie has a Double Degree Majoring in Commerce & Arts and graduated with a Diploma in Disaster and Hazard Management in 2014.
Working closely with Property Owners and Developers involved in the Christchurch rebuild, Stephanie has a passion for natural hazard preparedness planning and is also involved in the continual development of Safety First’s innovative online training modules.
Training Facilitator
Based at our Wellington office, Kerrie joined the Safety First team as an evacuation consultant in 2013, and has since moved into the role of Training Facilitator. With Kerrie’s background in the NZ Police and the security industry in addition to her experience with Safety First, she is a great asset to our team and our clients.
Assistant Auckland Manager and Fire Evacuation Consultant Level 4
An exceptionally motivated and diligent person, Amanda brings a genuine desire to help people to her chosen role. She is passionate and driven – and recently competed in a Roller Derby competition in the USA.
Manager Central North and Fire Evacuation Consultant Level 4
With a bright bubbly personality, Ashley is a pragmatic and practical addition to our team, with a rural kiwi upbringing and a natural interest in the H&S arena. She brings administration and recruitment skills and three years’ experience as a health and safety representative in her role as an evacuation consultant.
Ashley has a passion for making a difference to people’s lives, and we are delighted to have her in the Safety First team.
Evacuation Consultant
Barbera joined the Safety First team early in 2019, with a Bachelor of Architecture and a Master’s Degree in Building Technology. The combination of her technical background and people skills, makes her a valuable person to our organisation. Barbera has a great deal of international experience, enjoys planning and scoping future projects and has a competent track record in this area from previous jobs. In addition to this, her spontaneous and energetic character makes her easy-going and approachable.
Evacuation Consultant
Siafu is a keen and experienced Health and Safety advocate who has been able to build a significant skill base which has been consolidated through her diverse work history. With a background in education, emergency response and rehabilitation with various organisations, Siafu brings her passion and values for Health and Safety, as well as a high degree of interpersonal intelligence and resilience, to her current role.
Office Manager (Auckland)
Sue’s career experience includes working as a PA within many major corporates, and she is highly skilled in event management and coordination. Sue is responsible for the smooth running of the Auckland Office.
Trial Evacuation & Evacuation Scheme Co-ordinator
Jess assists our Evacuation Consultants with the implementation of new evacuation schemes, and the ongoing maintenance of existing schemes. As part of the Wellington based scheduling team, Jess also assists with scheduling of work for the Wellington & South Island Evacuation Consultants.
Trial Evacuation & Training Co-ordinator
Mikaela is responsible for scheduling all work for the Wellington based Evacuation Consultants. This requires exceptionally good geographical knowledge, insight into what each client’s specific requirements are, and an understanding of how our team can work most efficiently.
Administration Co-ordinator
With Safety First since 2011, Dahl handles all initial account and invoicing queries that come into the Wellington office and provides behind the scenes administration and invoicing support for the Wellington and South Island offices.
Administrator
With Safety First since 2011, Gabrielle provides behind the scenes administration, including invoicing and production of monthly advisory reports for clients. Providing support to all the Safety First consultants, Gabrielle is definitely one of our go-to people.
