Director & General Manager for the Upper North Island
Jenny is an NZFPA Certified Evacuation Consultant (NZFPA) Level 4 with 18 years’ industry experience, and recently chaired the Evacuation Consultants Group (ESPA).
General Manager & Principal Consultant – Health, Safety & Wellness
Heinrich is a Health, Safety, Security & Environmental Management specialist with 20 years’ overall experience. He is a Graduate Member with the New Zealand Institute of Safety Management. Heinrich graduated with an International Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety Management and the National Environmental Risk Management Diploma through NEBOSH, and is currently completing his Master’s Degree in Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Management with the University of Hull.
Director and General Manager for the Lower North and South Island
Joany has a background in property services, adult education and health & safety and over 19 years of industry experience in the management and implementation of evacuation schemes.
Lower North Island Manager & Evacuation Consultant
With over 15 years of industry experience in the management and implementation of evacuation schemes, Cameron is a very experienced Evacuation Consultant. In addition to his evacuation consultancy role, Cameron also manages our Wellington office.
South Island Manager & Evacuation Consultant
With Safety First since 2010, Stephanie has a Double Degree Majoring in Commerce & Arts and graduated with a Diploma in Disaster and Hazard Management in 2014.
Working closely with Property Owners and Developers involved in the Christchurch rebuild, Stephanie has a passion for natural hazard preparedness planning and is also involved in the continual development of Safety First’s innovative online training modules.
Based at our Wellington office, Kerrie joined the Safety First team in 2013. With Kerrie’s background in the NZ Police and the security industry, she is a great asset to our team and our clients.
An exceptionally motivated and diligent person, Amanda brings a genuine desire to help people to her chosen role. She is passionate and driven – and recently competed in a Roller Derby competition in the USA.
With a true passion for safety, Matt has industry experience working as a paramedic with Ambulance Victoria in Melbourne, and with The Wellington Free Ambulance. Matt also uses his personal time to volunteer with the Rural Fire Service and Urban Search and Rescue.
With a bright bubbly personality, Ashley is a pragmatic and practical addition to our team, with a rural kiwi upbringing and a natural interest in the H&S arena. She brings administration and recruitment skills and three years’ experience as a health and safety representative in her role as an evacuation consultant.
Ashley has a passion for making a difference to people’s lives, and we are delighted to have her in the Safety First team.
Health, Safety & Wellness Trainer
Anne’s experience includes 18 years of System & Change Management, and she is Train the Trainer qualified.
She has also held the role of national claims and administration manager for a multinational third party worker’s compensation provider for 63 corporate companies.
Sue’s career experience includes working as a PA within many major corporates, and she is highly skilled in event management and coordination. Sue is the ‘first voice’ of Safety First, handling all inbound calls and emails to the business.
Administration & Training Co-ordinator
With Safety First since 2011, Dahl is responsible for scheduling ‘on request’ training sessions, providing administration support and coordinating invoicing for the Wellington office.
Trial Evacuation Co-ordinator
Heather arranges and schedules all Evacuation Consultant work in Auckland and the upper North Island. She has an understanding of our client’s specific requirements, good geographical knowledge and coordinates our team’s travel and jobs for optimum efficiency.
Evacuation Scheme Co-ordinator
Sarah assists our Evacuation Consultants with the implementation of new evacuation schemes, and the ongoing maintenance of existing schemes.
Trial Evacuation & Training Co-ordinator
Jess is responsible for scheduling all work for the Evacuation Consultants. This requires exceptionally good geographical knowledge, insight into what each client’s specific requirements are, and an understanding of how our team can work most efficiently.
With Safety First since 2011, Gabrielle provides behind the scenes administration, including invoicing and production of monthly advisory reports for clients. Providing support to all the Safety First consultants, Gabrielle is definitely one of our go-to people.
